I have learned what it means when communication becomes business-critical — as press spokesperson at MANN+HUMMEL, in strategic communications consulting at Brunswick Group, and in agency work at fischerAppelt.

Today I independently advise companies, executives and individuals — in positioning, crisis communications and at the intersection of communication and technology. Alongside strategic consulting, I develop AI-based products for communication teams.

My studies in political science and communications took me to Mannheim, Seoul and Maastricht. As a member of GWPR Germany, I advocate for the visibility of women in the communications industry.

My base is Frankfurt am Main. The consulting work is location-independent.

When should I engage professional communications support?

A news item — whether accurate or not — spreads within minutes. Whoever is not part of the narrative loses control over it. Proactive, professional communication secures trust with all relevant audiences and prevents others from telling your story.

What is Litigation PR and who is it for?

Litigation PR is the strategic communications support in publicly visible legal disputes. It helps companies and individuals convey their perspective transparently and consistently to the media, the public and other stakeholders — in parallel with the legal proceedings and in close coordination with the legal advisors.

How can deepfake content affect me or my company, even without a public profile?

Deepfake technologies do not only affect prominent individuals — companies without significant media presence are potentially at risk, too. With the help of artificially generated video or audio sequences, executives, employees or corporate identities can be deceptively recreated. Fake product reviews or customer statements can also arise.

A growing risk is fake applicants: using deepfake technology and AI-generated CVs, fraudsters infiltrate hiring processes — particularly for remote positions. If such people are hired, the consequences include data protection breaches and espionage risks, as well as significant compliance problems — for example when fraudsters extract financial benefits from the company under a false identity. When fraud and missing controls combine, it is not just financial integrity that is at stake, but the company's entire reputation.

M&A communications ideally begins during the due diligence phase — not only with the public announcement. I develop a robust storyline with you, prepare Day-1 readiness and accompany communication through every deal phase up to post-merger integration. No deal is like the last, but each one needs a clear message, the right timing and a process that holds up under pressure.

Strong positioning makes the difference between visibility and relevance. What does a collaboration look like?

After an initial confidential conversation I analyse your situation and define the strategic communication objectives with you. Building on that, I develop a tailored strategy and accompany the implementation — from immediate support in acute situations to long-term positioning.

Depending on scope and complexity, I work independently or assemble a team of experienced colleagues — for example in larger M&A transactions or special situations. I work closely with your communications team as well as adjacent functions such as HR, Legal and the strategy team. If an agency is already on the mandate, I complement the team seamlessly.
